No, I’m not talking about the amount of time since my
last post. Sadly, that was more than a year ago! One year ago today, I
graduated from Jackson Hole Bible College. One glorious, incredible,
unforgettable year full of friends, fun, learning, laughter, study guides,
staying up late, tears of exhaustion, tears of joy, and so much more. I’m so
grateful for that year. On May 8th of 2011, I looked back on the
past year and said that it was the best year of my life. It truly was. Up to
that point, I had never had a year so full of growth in Christ, so full of new
friends, so full of knowledge and reading and study and sheer joy that came
from getting to study God’s word 24/7. Just plain FULL. I came away from that year
with bittersweet feelings… I was so grateful for the time I had spent there,
but I didn’t know what was next. I was glad to go home to my family, but as I
gave hugs to my dear brothers and sisters in Christ that I had met that year,
and waved them goodbye, I honestly believed that I would never see most of them
again until that glorious day when we will all be together in Heaven. Boy was I
wrong! :) Since that day, I have been blessed and privileged to keep in touch
with many of my classmates and other family at JHBC, and have even gotten to see
some of them multiple times! God is so very good to me, His undeserving
servant!
To top it all off, the person I had the hardest time
saying goodbye to… the one I had to go back to for one last hug before I got in
the car, the one who became my best friend during that year at JHBC, is now my
husband. WOW. And we were blessed to get
to see many of our dear JHBC brothers and sisters from near and far when they
came to witness our wedding. What a joy to see all of them again on such a
joyous occasion!
I can now say that this past year, since graduation on
May 8th, has been the best year of my life. I have learned and grown
so much, and I am anxious to see what the next year holds!
I’ve been meaning to get back into blogging for some
time, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Of course, me writing one post
doesn’t mean I’m getting back into it, but at least it’s a start right? :) I’m
just going to take it one post at a time, and not set any goals cause in all
likelihood I won’t attain to the absurdly high expectations I set for myself,
such as a post a week. (Yes, believe it or not that is an absurdly high goal
for me!) Kudos to all you bloggers who write week, or even daily! You’re
amazing! :)
If you’ve read this far, then thanks for taking the time
to read my ramblings! I hope to provide you with more interesting things to
read in the future. Bye for now! :)
